Gastronomy veterans Thiru and Heather Rajamani opened this Italian restaurant in the summer of 2011 on bustling DeKalb Avenue in the heart of Fort Greene. Making their guests feel at home was top priority, and we thus adopted an urban/modern yet warm design approach.
The interiors, exterior and the garden area had to be completely rebuilt and we hence used the opportunity to open up the space. We exposed the brick wall on the inside and redesigned the exterior facade with details that reflected the Brownstone Brooklyn surroundings. Centered along one of the walls is the main feature – a white marble topped bar, around which we organized a dozen tables. We created a cozy lounge area between the bar and the entrance. Already a darling neighborhood spot.
